Meet our finance professionals


Rhona Hawkins

DIRECTOR / CONSULTANT

Rhona has established herself as a finance expert in the local government sector. Her commitment to best practices was demonstrated in recent years when she participated as a key advisor for the local government chart of accounts standardisation which was adopted by 10 participating councils in 2018. After realising the potential of such a project, Rhona set out on her own mission in 2021; to establish best practices for across the industry.

In 2022, Rhona introduced the FinX Academy, facilitating the delivery of end-to-end training programs for finance departments across the state. In addition to personalised one-on-one training, the platform enhances her training and mentoring programs giving finance staff a space to share ideas and discuss their concerns so that we can in direct response time.

Tresa White

FINANCE SPECIALIST

Tresa is a versatile LG professional with over a decade in Local Government in addition to various roles in state government and private sector. She has built a career in Local Government commencing from an Administrative Support Officer in the Technical Services area forging a pathway to Payroll and developing to a HR Manager and now a LG Consultant.  

Predominantly working in a regional setting Tresa has had exposure to all LG aspects, gaining valuable experience in General Customer Service, Library Management, IT Support, Cemetary, Community Housing,  Payroll, Rates, Fleet Management, Procurement, General Finance and Human Resources. 

Some highlights of her career have been developing the Employee Lifecycle, implementing corporate Values, overseeing drafting the 10 year footpath Plan, participating in the LG Professional Mentoring program and acting as Chair to LG Professionals People and Culture network and more recently accepting the nomination of Chair to the IT Vision User Group Altus Payroll Sub-Committee. 

Tresa firmly believes that no Local Government employee should be stagnant due the unique diversity within Local Government and has the ambition is to work with Local Governments to create standardised processes and links between tertiary institutions, State and Federal government to assist Local Governments in need and to improve recruitment opportunities and future career pathways.
